AHEAD is delighted to have been shortlisted for an HR Excellence Award 2014 in the category Best Search and Selection Company at top-management, senior executive and middle management levels.

'On behalf of my colleagues, I would like to thank all those who nominated AHEAD for this award,' says Managing Partner, Guy Vereecke. 'The honour is very special for two reasons: firstly, because of the calibre and number of those consulted during the process - 1300 leading HR decision makers and 750 CEOs from a spread of sectors and regions of Belgium; and secondly, because of its emphasis on innovation – a measure close to our core.'

'Also it is a privilege to be nominated alongside admired companies across different award categories – from small up-and-coming firms to big guns like PwC, IBM, Oracle and Allen & Overy. Through good times and less good times, it pays not only to do things well, but to do things differently. AHEAD has strived to combine the integrity and exemplary standards of our former parent company Egon Zehnder with the spirit of the small firm we are – that is, responsive, creative and fast on our feet.'

These awards span 12 key categories: career transition and outplacement; compensation and rewards; employee benefits; employer branding and communications; HR strategy and consulting; HR technology and systems integration; interim recruitment and staffing; learning, coaching and development; assessment and testing; social and employment law; social secretariat; 'Great Performer of the Year', 'The One to Watch' and HR Community Prize.

'In this context, it appears extremely relevant to evaluate, on an objective basis, how service providers effectively help corporations overcome human capital management challenges, to understand how they adapt their portfolio of services accordingly, and to examine their best practices in accompanying corporations and HR departments in their transformation process -either through innovative approach or adoption of the tried-and-true way.'

With weeks to wait before the HR Excellence awards are decided, AHEAD's dossier will now be reviewed by an eminent jury before results are announced at the annual ceremony in mid November.

'Naturally it's very exciting to think that we are in the running for this,' adds Guy. 'To have been appreciated so far by our clients and candidates, and to be listed as a Top HR Supplier for 2014 is already a proud achievement. Winning would really be the icing on the cake and a thrill for us all.'
