Meet the team

The Team

AHEAD’s strength lies in its people: trusted consultants with specialist expertise; experience in world-class companies nationally or internationally; well-informed and well-connected; with personalities to build lasting relationships and guide both clients and candidates effectively.

Guy Vereecke

Guy is the founding partner of AHEAD.

With a master in sociology, a postgraduate in management and an MBA from ChicagoBooth, he started his career with the Fondation Roi Baudouin.

In 1985 he joined the Brussels office of Egon Zehnder International, where he was one of the Founding Partners of YESS International Consultants, the spin-off specialized in hi-potentials. After a friendly MBO, YESS became AHEAD.

With over 30 years’ experience in Executive Search, Guy has successfully conducted search assignments across a variety of business sectors and functional areas, but is still thrilled when he finds the right candidate. Guy is active in the Solvay School Alumni Career Service Program and taught some classes at IESEG as visiting professor.

Outside work, Guy enjoys spending time with his family and friends. He likes to drive his vintage motorcycle, goes out regularly for a run and likes to spend time in nature and especially in the mountains for hiking in the summer and skiing in the winter.

Hanneke Vereecke

Since 2020, she has been combining her activities in the clinic with individual coaching sessions at AHEAD. In those sessions, her aim is to help people grow in their personal and/or professional life.

In addition to her interest in psychology, Hanneke enjoys snooping around in interior shops, coffee and the first signs of spring.

Griet Flamez

Communication and HR are Griet's two professional passions and it must not come to any surprise that she earned her educational qualifications in those fields as well.

After her first professional steps in recruitment communication, she joined during the early days of the AHEAD project.

Griet prefers to work in the shadow, because it is there that you can find the best candidates most of the time. Search is like a hobby for her, leaving no stone unturned, identifying and approaching candidates who are not actively looking for a new professional opportunity.

You will also find her working in close collaboration with her colleague Françoise to support the administrative workflow of AHEAD.

Beside working for AHEAD, Griet loves to be outdoors for hiking or hitting the gym for her regular workouts and yoga as well. By the way, did you know that she collects little tea spoons from all the countries or cities she visited so far? That collection is growing every year.

Françoise Castrique

After a master in translation from the Institut Libre Marie Haps and a postgraduate in applied languages & business communication at the University of Ghent, Françoise joined AHEAD as an Administrative Assistant in July 1995.

She has phone and mail contacts with clients and candidates, arranges meetings, prepares, edits and translates various documents, deals with accounts payable and receivable and statistics.

Françoise likes bringing added value to clients, candidates and colleagues. Reliable, discrete, she is service-minded and has an eye for detail, is serious still keeping a sense of humour.

The proud mother of 2 children, she has a passion for the simple things in life : spending quality time with her family and friends, walking, reading, enjoying good food, gardening, singing in the shower, …
